personally I love me a good heartthrob, but this curb stomped my heart and placed it in the garbage disposal. i enjoyed ash's journey to make it out the gang and knowing why this was his goal is even more upstanding. the story is interesting as it ties in many outside influences, making the story multifaceted. but i will never recommend this to someone as that would be extremely evil. but if you do decide to watch, i strongly advise looking at the trigger tags!
